Originally, she is a researcher in molecular biology and obtained her PhD (magna cum laude) in molecular genetics from the Free University of Berlin in Germany. She has extensive experience in leading various projects in late-stage drug development, including supporting validation experiments for release and stability testing of a wide range of chemical and molecular biological methods for large molecules- vaccines and immunotherapeutic drugs.

She holds a MSc in Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Leicester in the UK. Prior to her PhD, she worked as a junior pathology scientist at the Vision Research Foundation in India. In this role, she had the opportunity to be part of a team developing a small RNA-mediated therapy for retinoblastoma, a childhood eye cancer.
