Life as a Progress consultant by
Cor Marsman
Working as consultant for Progress, I have been involved in many assignments for a wide variety of companies in the life sciences industry from small start-ups until global multinationals. Assignments differ from providing simple hands-on activities, such as writing Product Quality Reviews or qualifying new equipment or utilities, to offering advice for a conceptual design of a new facility, designing a new quality management system or working on revision of existing systems.
If, like me, you enjoy being involved in the development, manufacturing, testing and logistics of medicinal products, you can rest assured that there is always something new to learn and work on. Within Progress we hold close contact and regularly consult each other to discuss the challenges we encounter. We have regular team meetings where there is plenty of time to share knowledge and experiences. In this manner, we maintain the team spirit and a knowledge network spanning all aspects of pharmaceutical development, engineering, processing, analysis and quality systems.
At Progress we are customer-oriented and continuously evaluating how we can improve our service and introduce the principles of Lean into our work. This is to support our customers in a pragmatic approach to develop and implement systems in compliance with current regulations and guidelines.
To emphasise the non-work related and social aspects, we organise activities outside the work routine. We participate in community activities such as Beach Clean-ups and annually, we have two social fun events, a summer and a winter event. During these activities there is plenty of time to get to know your colleagues in a non-work related setting and not only your colleagues, partners and during the summer event children can participate. This all creates an atmosphere of fun and where we are far more than just colleagues.
For me Progress is a fulfilling and fun place to spend my working hours. And I have personally experienced that Progress is also a very social and caring employer.
