Dominic has over 14 years experience within the biotech and active pharmaceutical ingredient industry of which 4 years were specific to next generation sequencing (NGS) reagent manufacturing. His career in pharmaceuticals started in the process development department at Fine Chemicals Corporation (wholly owned subsidiary of Aspen pharmacare).

His experience ranges from Engineering (projects and maintenance), Commissioning and Qualification, Validation, Process Development, Quality and Management. Prior to joining Progress, Dominic filled the role of Engineering and Support Manager at Roche Diagnostics Cape Town. This role focused on maintenance and calibration of Operations manufacturing equipment. He was also the technical lead of a site relocation project which involved the design, construction, commissioning and qualification of a new facility and seamless transfer of operations between the two sites.

Prior to his employment at Roche, Dominic was employed for 10 years at Aspen pharmacare in various roles. Fine Chemicals Corporation, based in Cape Town, develops and manufactures off patent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients for the global market. His roles included Process Development Supervisor, Validation and Process Improvement Engineer and Validation Manager. During his employment at Aspen, he was intimately involved with the construction, commissioning and qualification of three new automated manufacturing facilities.
